Blackberry picking

The sun is shining this afternoon as the whole school and an army of willing helpers set off to go blackberry picking round the village.
We are going to use the blackberries to make cakes to sell at the Macmillan coffee morning.
We hope you can come and join in on Friday morning.
Thank you to all the grown-ups who helped us today.

Marvin Wanted More Maths Cafe

This morning we held our second maths cafe. Thank you to all the parents and governors who came to join in the fun.

Decorating Marvin biscuits.

Making a topiary tree.

Painting the whole world!

Building Great Britain using salt dough.

Making a mountain using a square based pyramid net and covering it with moss.

These two are very pleased with their finished Marvin biscuits.

The tree is coming along nicely...

Just who is having the most fun here?

Coastal erosion?

Lakes and mountains.

Pompoms do take ages but they are worth the effort.

Um, I think you have already made one of these!

There are some strange looking sheep in Tivetshall today!

Determination, concentration, an engineer of the future?

You're not thinking of putting feta cheese on your rich tea biscuit, are you?

Yummy, they are obviously good enough to eat.

We held a feta cheese tasting survey. 19 people took part. Only 2 people did not like the taste or smell and would not like to eat it again. 9 people had eaten it before. Most people were surprised to find out that it is made using sheep's (or goat's) milk.

This is what happens when you try liquorice for the first time!

A very busy bunch being helped by a parent with hidden talents!

A lumpy bumpy Great Britain.

Yes, I know you're going to eat these, but how long can you resist temptation!?!

A lake for Marvin to gulp.

Knitting and nattering.

Even the younger brothers and sisters got stuck in and tried out lots of activities.

Oh dear!

You really persevered with this and could even remember the name of the shape at the end of the day. Well done.

Some maths games.

We tried quilling and found it surprisingly easy and effective.

Another topiary tree in the making.

"Err, where did you say Wales is?"

Go on, have another one!

Needless to say, the food activities were very popular and more have been requested for next time...
