Easter Garden Competition Assembly

Everyone worked very hard this morning to design and make their Easter Garden. They all look beautiful. Mrs Green had the task of judging all the entries...
The results were:
Yrs 4, 5 and 6 group - 3rd Thomas, 2nd Tia and 1st place Adam.
Yrs 2 and 3 group - 3rd Max, 2nd Kieran and 1st place Leah.
Yrs R and 1 group - 3rd Elizabeth, 2nd Jack and 1st place Aidan.
The overall winner was Adam.
Congratulations and well done to all of you. Everyone received a prize for taking part.
After that certificates were presented to a group of children who had completed their basic skills level 1 cycling course.
Thomas explained the theme for this years activity week. This was chosen during a vote during school council. It is going to be 'potions and experiments'. Please think about some great ideas during the holidays and be ready to suggest them during the next school council meeting.
Have a super Easter break.

Partnership Musical Performance

KS2 performed for the partnership and parents. They have been learning drumming this term.
We heard African drumming and 'call-and-response' drumming. There was also an African song with two parts, upper and lower, with African and English singing. The final piece was a familiar song called 'Sing' with some very brave solo performers. Well done everyone.
Thank you very much to Mrs Drake who has helped us learn these pieces.

Mothers' Day Cafe

We celebrated this very special occasion in style by holding a French Patisserie for our mums, family and friends.
Everyone got involved making French pastries, menus and gifts for our mums. Class 2 took refreshment orders and served our customers. They sang a special song to make the mums cry!
We also presented Miss Stead with a surprise cake to celebrate her birthday.
